Race started from Cabrillio National Monument. Downhill first 4 miles. I ran a strong race until Mile 11 when an awfully steep hill slowed my pace to a screeching halt. Managed to eke out a decent finish. As is typical of SoCal, great running weather.

A tough course, with steep hills; Ran the first half-marathon. Very early morning start, 24000 runners, fantastic running weather. Ran with my son Visraant Iyer. Ran a consistent 9.30 pace for the most part; Finished in 2 hours and 4 minutes.
