Prague Marathon, May 7, 2017

Country number 24 and Marathon number 92 checked off…Prague Marathon was a wonderfully organized race in a beautiful city, and run under perfect spring weather. Not an inch of the course lacked crowd support. I am going to miss the Beer, Svickova, and Goulash. I stayed in a hotel right across the famous astronomical clock. This is another destination I will probably run again.

Bollywood movie Dhoom 3

Watched the Bollywood movie Dhoom 3 on Saturday with my wife. I normally don’t write reviews, but felt compelled to write a few sentences for this movie, since almost the entire movie was shot in Chicago – in neighborhoods I drive by almost on a daily basis. Lakeshore Drive, Lake Michigan, Navy Pier, Field Museum, Lower Walker Drive, Loop, Grant Park, etc.. The movie is an embarrassing portrayal of Chicago cops (I threw cynicism out the window yet couldn’t stomach the stupidity ...

Our Son, Sravisht “Chevy” Iyer, graduated Cum Laude from Harvard Medical School on Thursday, May 26, 2011. Weather was perfect for the outdoor ceremony. Harvard tradition and formality were evident in every second of the occasion. Highly accomplished bunch of graduates.

100th Bay-to-Breakers 12k, San Francisco, CA, May 15, 2011

Fun annual San Francisco tradition. Thousands of runners in crazy / creative costumes, and of course a few with absolutely no costume. I ran with my son (both clothed for running) and finished strong. With a lot of restrictions imposed this year (no drinking, no floats, etc.) the race was great to run (but disappointed most revelers who participate just for all the distractions).
