Hot and hilly St. Louis Marathon after last weekend’s Raleigh. Better time than Raleigh, but I have stopped caring about finish times a long time ago.
I guess I just involuntarily started doing round 2 of 50-States Marathon quest.

Ocean front marathon – in a small town in Cyprus. Beautiful course but zero crowd support. Country number 23 and Marathon number 88 done. Still on target to run my 100th Marathon in Chicago in October 2017.
A very small race – but just 3 hours flight from Chicago, there is a paradise and a Marathon in January..so why not? Marathon number 84 and the first one for the year…with the goal still being to run 17 in 17 !! and the big 100th Marathon in Chicago this October.

Finished Richmond Marathon on Saturday Nov 12th. Marathon #83, Race #124.
As I ran along Broad Street I couldn’t help but think of all my Wells Fargo friends who worked with me closely 12 years ago on several initiatives in Richmond. This was my seventh consecutive Bank of America Chicago Marathon. After running Marathons all over the world and in all the 50 states, I am absolutely certain that Chicago is the best Marathon in the world – in terms of runner-friendly amenities, organization, crowd support, post-race party, course, etc.
BTW, when I run I always look for interesting signs held by cheering crowd. Apparently the leaked Trump video gave a lot of material for sign-makers. I can ...

Registered to run the full marathon, but the sweltering heat and stifling humidity made me wimp out and instead I changed my mind at the last minute and ran only the half. Country number 19 !! Every major city inn Europe has something to offer by way of rich history, beautiful buildings and GREAT FOOD.. The race itself was very well-organized, and supported. Although I am getting slower by the week, I am enjoying each race more than the previous one 🙂
